The Structures Research Group is part of the Civil Engineering Section of the Department of Engineering. The research areas of the Group include earthquake engineering and performance based assessment, laboratory and field testing, seismic assessment and rehabilitation of masonry and concrete structures, architectural heritage, masonry arch bridges and steel-concrete composite bridges, and industrial plants, advanced composites (FRP/SRP and FRCM/TRM/SRG), modelling of structures and of soil-structure interaction. The Group is in charge of BSc and MSc courses in Civil Engineering and is part of the PhD school of Civil Engineering.
